Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Beysider (beysider.com, the "Service") is operated by Beyside Sdn. Bhd. (registration no. 202501027740 (1629152-A)), of RA-22-2 & RA-22-4, Lot Kedai Almas, Persiaran Laksamana, Puteri Harbour, 79250 Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia ("Beyside", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Beyside for your use of the Service, including the map, Practice Together, Beyta League duels, tournaments, the shop and trade features, share cards and notifications. The Privacy Notice below forms part of these Terms.

By ticking the box at the end of sign-up you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and age

You may use the Service if you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you must give a parent's or legal guardian's email address at sign-up. We use it to keep your guardian informed, not as a permission gate: we email them when you sign up, each time you send or accept a practice, duel or trade invite or accept a friend request (with the other blader's Blader Name and your position at that moment), and if your account is reported, paused or closed. A guardian who does not want you on the Service can ask us to close your account by emailing us.

Under-18 accounts have one restriction built in: the optional social photos on practice sessions and duels are disabled when either player is under 18. Bladers under 18 may use the shop and trades; a sale or trade agreed by a minor is the responsibility of the guardian whose email is on the account. We may ask for proof of age or of guardian consent and may suspend an account until it is provided.

3. Your account and Google sign-in

You sign in with a Google account. We use Google only to verify that you control that account. Your Google name, photo and email are never shown on your public profile or to other users, and are not copied into it.

You may hold one account. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your Google account secure. Tell us at beysidemy@gmail.com promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Blader Name and profile

You choose a Blader Name when you sign up. Blader Names are unique across the Service (ignoring letter case), must pass our profanity filter, and may not impersonate another person, team, organiser, brand or Beyside itself, or use a reserved name. A name released by a closed or renamed account is held for 30 days before anyone else can take it. We may change or remove a Blader Name, status line or profile content that breaks these rules, and we may reclaim names that are inactive, deceptive or needed to protect a trademark.

5. Acceptable use

The Service exists so bladers can find each other, practise, duel and compete in person. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, stalk or discriminate against any user, or contact a user who has asked you to stop;
• post content that is obscene, hateful, violent, sexual, defamatory, or that infringes another person's rights or privacy, including photographs of people who have not agreed to be photographed;
• misrepresent your location, results, age or identity, or use two accounts, automation, GPS spoofing or any other means to manipulate presence, ratings, duel records, caps or cool-downs;
• use the Service to arrange anything other than Beyblade practice, duels, tournaments and the sale or trade of Beyblade-related items;
• sell counterfeit goods, or goods you do not own or are not entitled to sell;
• scrape, copy, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service, or attempt to access other users' data;
• use the Service in any way that breaks Malaysian law, including the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, or the law of the place where you are.

We use an automated word filter on status lines, Blader Names and listings. Rejected text is not stored. Filtering is not a guarantee that all offensive content is caught, and you can report any content or user from their profile.

6. Map presence and location

When you mark yourself present, your approximate location is shown as a pin to other signed-in bladers until you go off the map or your presence expires. Presence is off by default and is never shown to people who are not signed in. You control it; we do not track you in the background.

Meeting people from the map is your decision. Choose public, well-lit places, tell someone where you are going, and bring a guardian if you are under 18. Beyside does not vet users, does not supervise meetings and is not a party to anything that happens between bladers in person.

7. Practice Together and League duels

Invitations, acceptance, QR or code handshakes, ratings, photos, match clocks, caps and cool-downs work as described in the app at the time you use them. The current rules are:

We may change these numbers to keep play fair; the app always shows the rules in force. Practice sessions and duels are informal play between two bladers and carry no prize, entry fee or wager.

8. Duel results, disputes and admin decisions

Before a League duel both bladers tick a checklist confirming three Beys, no repeated parts, official Hasbro or Takara Tomy products, and the current Takara Tomy B4 Store and KSGB rulings. Each blader takes a private evidence photo. The invitee submits the score; the inviter confirms, or the result auto-confirms after 30 minutes.

A blader may dispute a result before confirming it, at most twice in any rolling 24 hours. A disputed duel is recorded as Invalid and still counts toward that pair's daily cap. Beyside admins may review the evidence photos and uphold the submitted result. Repeated disputes, repeated cancellations or evidence of manipulation may lead to a warning, a reset of League standing, or suspension.

Admin decisions on results, disputes and standings are final. League standings and ratings are for community fun; they have no cash value and we may reset, recalculate or retire them at any time.

9. Tournaments

Tournaments listed on the Service are run by their organisers, who may be Beyside or independent users. The organiser sets the venue, date, format, entry rules and any fee, and is responsible for running the event lawfully and safely. Beyside provides the listing, check-in and results tools only. Where Beyside is the organiser, the tournament page says so and the event's own rules apply in addition to these Terms.

Organisers agree to enter results accurately within 48 hours of the end time (after which the tournament closes with no placings), to hold events at the stated place and time or notify entrants of changes, and to obtain any permits the venue or local authority requires. Beyside may remove a listing or an organiser's rights at any time.

If you mark yourself interested in a tournament, you can withdraw free of charge until 24 hours before it starts. Withdrawing later, or not checking in, counts as a no-show; three no-shows in any 30 days pause your account for 30 days. Interest does not reserve a place: where more bladers turn up than the capacity, places go to those who check in first.

10. Shop and trades

The shop lets bladers list Beyblade-related items for sale or trade with other bladers. Beyside is a venue only and does not sell through the Service: we are not the seller, buyer, payment processor or courier, and no payment passes through the Service. Buyer and seller agree the price, method and hand-over between themselves. Listing an item you are not entitled to sell, or a counterfeit, is a breach of these Terms.

Buyers and sellers are each responsible for complying with the Consumer Protection Act 1999, the Sale of Goods Act 1957 and the Electronic Commerce Act 2006 where they apply, and for any tax. Beyside does not guarantee the condition, authenticity or delivery of any item and does not mediate refunds, but you can report a user and we may suspend accounts involved in repeated complaints.

11. Your content, photos and share cards

You keep ownership of everything you post: your Blader Name, status line, listings, session and duel photos, results, and any clan logo or gym crest you upload. A clan admin or Gym Leader confirms they have the right to use the logo or crest they upload, and that it does not copy a brand they do not own. You give Beyside a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, resize and reproduce that content within the Service and on share cards you generate, for as long as it is on the Service, and to keep copies as required by law or for dispute handling. You confirm you have the right to post it and that anyone identifiable in a photo has agreed to appear.

Session photos are visible to the same people who can see the session, are attached only to that session and any share card you make from it, and are deleted from our storage 7 days after the session. Duel evidence photos are private to the two bladers and Beyside admins and are deleted after 90 days. Photos you save or share outside the Service are outside our control.

Share cards may carry your Blader Name, avatar, clan, result and any photo you chose. Once you post a card to WhatsApp, Instagram or elsewhere, that platform's terms apply.

12. Reporting, suspension and closing your account

You can report any user, listing or photo from within the app. We may remove content, restrict features, reset League standing, or suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, the law requires it, or the account is being used to harm others. Where practical we tell you why and how to appeal by email. Serious cases, including safety threats to minors, are reported to the Royal Malaysia Police or the relevant authority.

You may close your account at any time from Settings. Your profile and pin disappear immediately; the Privacy Notice explains what we retain and for how long. Beyside may also withdraw the Service, in whole or in part, on 30 days' notice, or sooner if required by law.

13. Intellectual property

The Beysider name, the Beyside and Beyta League logos, the dragon crest, the map style, the app design and code are owned by Beyside and protected by the Copyright Act 1987 and the Trademarks Act 2019. You may not use them except as part of share cards generated by the Service.

Beyblade, Beyblade X and related names are trademarks of Takara Tomy Co., Ltd. and Hasbro, Inc. Beysider is an independent fan-built community platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Takara Tomy, Hasbro or their licensees. Map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL, served by OpenFreeMap.

14. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that locations, distances, results, standings or other users' information are accurate. Real-time features depend on your device, browser, network and GPS, which we do not control.

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under Malaysian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies.

Subject to that, Beyside is not liable for any loss or injury arising from meetings, practice, duels, tournaments or trades between users; for anything another user says, does or posts; for loss of data, standings or content; or for any indirect or consequential loss. Because the Service is free, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to RM50.

16. Indemnity

If you are 18 or over, you agree to compensate Beyside for claims by third parties that arise from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your use of the Service in breach of the law. For users under 18, this clause binds the consenting guardian to the extent permitted by law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Before going to court, you and Beyside agree to try to settle any dispute by email within 30 days. If that fails, the courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring a consumer claim in the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia where it has jurisdiction. If you live outside Malaysia, mandatory consumer protections of your home country still apply to you.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Minor changes take effect when posted with a new version number. For material changes we give at least 14 days' notice in the app, and you will be asked to accept the new version when you next open the Service. Continued use after that date is acceptance. Earlier versions are available on request.

19. General

If any clause is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a clause is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms; Beyside may transfer them to a successor operator on notice. The English version of these Terms governs; any translation is for convenience.
